Melinda is a Registered Massage Therapist and Member of the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association (SCM). After graduating from Makami College in Calgary in 2018, she joined the multidisciplinary teams at Bridgeland Sport & Spine and Healthquest Chiropractic to build a solid background in clinical massage, treating a wide range of conditions from acute sports injuries to chronic musculoskeletal conditions and pain.
In 2026, Melinda joined the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA) and completed the CSMTA’s Advanced Sport Massage Course to be able to better support athletes through all stages of training, competition, and recovery. She is working towards her Sport Fellow designation and provides on-site and in clinic treatments to athletes from the grassroots to the National level.
Melinda believes in a proactive approach to health that includes massage, exercise, and mental wellness to achieve optimal recovery. In 2026, she opened her own home based clinic in Tuxedo. “A Moment for You Massage” offers patients a space to relax and detach from the demands of training, the workplace and everyday life.
In her free time, Melinda loves spending time in nature hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking, and is generally up for any good adventure. She believes in “practicing what you preach” and stays healthy by lifting weights. Between 2014 - 2024, Melinda competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at local and international tournaments. Today she mostly practices her Jiu-Jitsu moves on her friends for fun.
